Jakarta, LorongNews.com – Anda penyandang disabilitas? Atau bukan, tapi punya perhatian terhadap hak disabilitas? Pernah terbayang ada pemutaran film di mana semua penonton tak terkecuali mereka penyandang disabilitas mendapatkan akses yang sama dan setara?

Inilah saat yang tepat!

Kampanye INDONESIA INKLUSIF, sebuah inisiatif distribusi film “Sejauh Kumelangkah” dan kampanye dampak untuk hak disabilitas akan dimulai hari ini, 3 Desember 2020. Bertepatan dengan Hari Disabilitas Internasional 2020.

Mulai hari ini, semua pihak yang ingin menjadi kolaborator kampanye film dapat mengajukan permohonan penayangan film untuk komunitasnya masing-masing melalui situs sejauhkumelangkah.com yang juga diluncurkan hari ini.

INDONESIA INKLUSIF adalah tema besar kampanye yang dibawa oleh film Sejauh Kumelangkah. Sesuai dengan misi dan ceritanya, film ini bertema hak disabilitas serta akses terhadap pendidikan bagi penyandang disabilitas.

Film Sejauh Kumelangkah ingin mengajak sebanyak mungkin pihak untuk memutar film dan menjadi kolaborator bersama membangun ruang inklusif yang dimulai dari sinema.

Siapa saja yang bisa menjadi mitra dan memutar film ini?

Sekolah, organisasi, komunitas film, kampus, warga, dan individu bisa berpartisipasi untuk menjadi bagian dari INDONESIA INKLUSIF. Seluruh penayangan akan dilakukan pada bulan Januari dan Februari 2021. Selama dua bulan itu, kami membayangkan akan terjadi pemutaran film secara berangkai oleh berbagai komunitas di seluruh Indonesia. Terkait Covid-19, seluruh pemutaran akan dilakukan secara daring.

Penayangan film Sejauh Kumelangkah akan menjadi pengalaman  menonton yang unik karena menggunakan narasi audio yang dibacakan sebagai deskripsi untuk mereka yang tunanetra, serta closed caption untuk orang tuli.

Penonton non-disabilitas bisa memejamkan mata sambil menonton film, atau bisa mematikan suara, dan pelan-pelan bisa berempati bagaimana rasanya bila suatu hari kita tiba-tiba kehilangan penglihatan, atau kehilangan pendengaran, atau kehilangan kemampuan daya dukung tubuh lainnya?

Sejauh Kumelangkah bercerita tentang dua teman masa kecil yang kini remaja, Andrea dan Salsabila, yang hidup dengan kebutaannya masing-masing di dua negara yang berbeda: Indonesia dan Amerika. Keduanya memiliki harapan yang sama, untuk bisa mandiri dan mampu menghadapi hidup sebagai tunanetra di tengah masyarakat yang belum sepenuhnya inklusif terhadap penyandang disabilitas seperti mereka.

Dengan menyimak sepotong kehidupan cerita Andrea dan Salsabila yang terlahir buta, dari langkah sederhana berupa gerakan menonton film tentang disabilitas, kami berharap bisa tumbuh sensitivitas dan kepedulian untuk turut menjadi bagian yang mendukung tumbuhnya lingkungan yang inklusif.

Selain penayangan film, kampanye dampak yang dilakukan oleh film Sejauh Kumelangkah juga akan mengadakan beberapa webinar yang membicarakan berbagai topik bertema besar INDONESIA INKLUSIF. Menerabas batas bicara hak disabilitas, diharapkan terjadi dari seluruh rangkaian pemutaran film dan webinar yang diadakan oleh kampanye dampak film ini.

Seiring dengan semangat tersebutlah, misi INDONESIA INKLUSIF – kampanye distribusi film & dampak untuk hak disabilitas dibuat. Karena kami percaya, memperjuangkan hak disabilitas adalah memperjuangkan hak asasi seluruh manusia.
